You are in control. You can permanently delete your Alpha-gal account and all of your associated data yourself, at any time, from inside the app — no email or waiting required. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. If you can no longer open the app, you can request deletion by email instead.
Delete from inside the app
This is the fastest way and removes everything in one step:
- Open Alpha-gal and make sure you're signed in.
- Go to the More tab.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
Your account and its data are erased right away, and you are signed out. Because deletion is permanent, you may want to export a clinician report first (from the app) if you'd like to keep a copy of your logs.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes the personal data stored under it, including:

| Profile & health data | Your (and any dependents') sensitivity settings, reaction severity, epinephrine details, display name. |
| Health logs | Reactions, meals, medication lookups, and product / label scan history you recorded. |
| Location & tick bites | Tick-bite records and any locations you attached to them. |
| Content you submitted | Photos, recipes, saved items, emergency contacts, assistant chat history, and feedback. |
What may be kept
A small amount of data may remain after deletion, and it is no longer linked to you:
- Community contributions (for example, a public review or a suggested place) may be retained in anonymized form so the directories stay accurate for others.
- Minimal transaction records for any donation (that it occurred and its amount) may be kept where required for tax, accounting, or app-store rules. We never store your card number.
- Routine backups and logs may retain data briefly before rotating out on their normal schedule.
If you can't open the app
If you no longer have access to the app, email support@alphagalapp.com from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. To help us verify your request, include:
- The email address (or sign-in method) on your account.
- The subject line "Delete my account."
We'll verify the request and delete your account and associated data, then confirm by email — typically within 30 days.
Timing & confirmation
In-app deletions take effect immediately. Email requests are completed after we verify your identity, generally within 30 days. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. For more on how we handle data, see our Privacy Policy.
